GStar EX Camera Capture Card

Hi Everyone,

This is a question for those that have a GStar EX (or similar analogue output camera) as to what capture card you use?

I have windows 7 x64 installed and everything else is running perfectly (even the gstar 4 software). However I cannot get PHD to see my GStar video feed for guiding???? It is driving me nuts.

I was wondering if anyone out there have these working with phd and what device they use.

And most importantly where can I get one???

Thanks in advance

Anthony

I know this is not helpful but when I had my G star ex mono I could not get PHD to recognise it either. That was with vista.
Good luck

Hi Graham,

I think it has to do with the capture card and how the pc see's it. If the device uses the WDM drive framework then PHD should have no problems seeing the video feed, big question is what devices use his driver frame work LOL.

From what i have read the Belkin F5U228 device works but really hoping someone has had some joy here and most importantly tell me where they got it from????

Cheers

Anthony
