Both eps have 20mm of eye relief (great for people with glasses) and are modular in design (various sections of the eps can be unscrewed to accommodate both 1.25” and 2” filters as well as the fine tuning rings).
I also have a set of fine tuning rings that go with these eyepieces in another for sale thread. The fine tuning rings can be screwed on to turn the 8mm into a 6.9mm or a 4.3mm eyepiece. The rings also increase the magnification of the 13mm Startus (the Orion Stratus’ and the Ba’ader Hyperions are essentially the same eyepiece. Alternatively, the negative lens can be removed from both EPs allowing them to function as 22mm eyepieces as well.
I have the same Bintel 12" as you, and have been (slowly) looking for a suitable planetary ep. Your 8 mm Ba'ader seems to be a possible option, but why are you selling it after just 3 months? How does it go with the Bintel dob? I would be interested in buying it if it is a good match.
