Wedge-Tailed Eagle in Flight, and trail cam images

These big Eagles fly around the paddocks I visit,I was on a 8000 acre property searching for dingo pups, along a rocky cliff,as July is the best time of year to find dens.I have often seen these great birds looking for the same-this male bird swooped in low,and I really hoped he found one and swooped down on it,but he had no joy either.(that would be a great photo opportunity)But I did managed a snap of him with the 400 L lens.

Also some trail cam images, one of a pair of eagles, and one of a big male dingo feeding on some guts,he is quite a size,I took this image out of trail cam video,I ended up with lots of video of him feeding,so amazing to have such an inexpensive device to get these images and footage. This dingo is very smart and has out smarted everyone that has tried to catch up with him.

Thanks Derek and Leon.Unfortunately there has been trouble in paradise Leon, the wild dogs have killed thousands of dollars worth of stock and chased a kid on a bike,so had to try and catch up with a few dogs-hard work, but managed to catch up with one that has bested me in last few months-but not this time.(its like playing chess),I had the 70-200L so got a quick image for the vermin control officer.

(note-humane RSPCA approved rubber jaw traps used)

Hmmm, that is pretty sad Chris, gee they can cause some damaged.

Hope it can be controlled before more stock is lost, maybe a cull seems to be in order.

Yes Leon, the dogs can cause a quite a bit of damage, most graziers and land holders of these large properties,do not mind the odd one or two dogs about, but at the moment they are in large numbers. So a reduction in their numbers is needed.I use humane rubber jaw traps with suspension springs-these are very modern and far more humane than old traps, and poision baits.
I do not approve of any unnessary cruelty to any animals, and any vermin I have to dispatch is done so very quickly. All the land holders properties I visit and camp on will not tolerate inhumane treatment either.

But I do enjoy the challenge,ol graziers tease me that I will not get the big calf killer,(all tongue in check),but this cunning female was just as hard to catch up with.
