VPN with a TPG NerCommWireless Router??

Guys,
My wife is driving me crazy!!
She needs to connect her business VPN from home. The TPG router we have doesn't seem to be able to connect to her business VPN!
I ned a net search and tried some of the suggested solutions...but none have workeed so far...
She keeps reminding me that the ol' Telstra and Dlink wireless modem "didn't give these problems!"
Is there anything else I can do, other than buying a Dlink modem and using that on TPG?????

If your using Windows 7, open the network and sharing center. Click on Setup New Connection or Network. Select Connect to a Workplace and click next. You may get a dialog showing existing connections, select No, create a new connection, click next. Use existing Internet Connection, next. Fill in the details for the connection.

The type of router shouldn't make a difference unless you have specifically blocked VPN.

Once active, all traffic from the pc is directed through the vpn link. I often forget to close vpn down when finished and the Internet gets very slow.
