Saturn 240612

Here is my capture of Saturn last night in HD video on my 600D. Didn't really understand the implications of my digital zoom which I attempted to use for increased focus = fail. However it did increase the pixel count/ size of the image for stacking and processing. My best to date with H violet filter use about half of a 7min 1.6G capture and then only about 800 frames before the memory became critical - and threatened to crash get again.

Anybody know what the max file size or images Lynkeos can handle? I under stand memory is a computer issue but Lynkeos seems a little unstable at times I think I'm pushing its limits.

That looks really nice has a nice 3D look. What sort of scope do you use?

Sorry don't know anything about the program.. I've only tried registax, and I know that it didn't like my large HD videos from a 500D..

I have a 12" f5 skywatcher on an eq6. Not a perfect combination but it's starting to produce some results for me. A 10" f4 would be much more manageable. I need to use a step ladder at times for visual.
