Post astro soc meeting

Hi pplz,
Just thought I'd share with yas something interesting happened at my astro socs meeting on monday night...

We always have a guest speaker and this nights was really interesting. Peter Elston of Qantas came in to tell us about his experience in solar eclipse chasing. In 2003 He piloted a Qantas boing 474 full of eclipse chasing passengers down to the antarctic so they could stay in the shadow of the eclipse for about 3 mins....
He showed a dvd on the journey and heaps of pics. Really was and interesting talk. some of the pics he showed us were really eyepoping!

the seats were up to $11k each!
