Dual-Speed 2" Crayford Focuser

For Sale:
NEW in BOX - "York Optical" branded Dual-Speed 2" Crayford style Focuser
10:1 Micro Focus
For 10" Newtonians

I bought this last week but it does not seem to fit my Skywatcher Flex-Dob.

So I will return it unless someone here wants it for what I paid for it,

I paid $89 (plus $12 registered post).
It was apparently RRP $335 originally.

A bargain too good to miss of the (now closed down) York Optical stock.

If no interest by the end of this week I will just send it back for a refund.
No sweat either way for me.
But may be a bargain for someone?

(my understanding is the "York Optical" brand is GSO. (same as Bintel and some others).
So if you have a DOB or Newtonian of that origin, then this could be for you.

Questions, comments, and replies are welcome on this thread.

Thanks for looking
Al

Extra Info as advertised:

- Tension and lock controls.
- Rated at 2.7kg load capacity.

Hi Allan,

I'm very interested, but just wanted to clarify, u said it fits 10" scopes, and later said tubes 303mm diameter which is 12"... Just wanted to clear it up, if it fits 12" scopes, consider it sold..

Hi Dav,
My understanding is that it fits both 10" and 12" scopes.
Others I saw generally came in two sizes one for 8" scopes and one for 10" to 12" scopes.
But i agree it is a little confusing, but that was how the original add was worded, i just cut and pasted.
Hope this helps

If I may add something here Allan.

The scope has a mirror Diameter of 10 inches, however the tube has a larger diameter than the mirror.
I think this is why it says fits tube diameter which is larger than the primary of the scope.
I hope this helps.

Geoffro.
