Iridium 29 and widefield shots

Hi everyone,

I have only recently bought a canon 550D and beagan testing it out on the sky about a week ago and yesterday night I checked heavens above and it showed a iridium flare at -8 mag and since I have never photographed one I thought I'll try it out, aswell as shoot some widefields.

All shots taken with a canon 550D Ef 15-85 mm lens at 15mm, 30 second exposures f/3.5 . 23/6/12 6-30 pm (aest)

unfortunately I triggered the shot of the iridium a little to early and did not capture the fade away.

Finding this new learning curve and enjoyable experience
Hope you like them
Regards Orestis

Ps- any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

It's great fun isn't it.
You really need one of these so you can take longer exposures.

thanks for the comments,

That remote shutter release looks like a good accessory and quite cheap.

I'll try and get one soon.
