Hi Chris, I have WO binos with their supplied 20mm WA eyepieces. I bought 15mm, 20mm and 25mm TV plossl pairs which are very nice but sold the shorter focal length refractor I was using the 15mm in. The main reason to add a 15mm pair to the supplied 20mm pair is to gain different magnification.

thanks for the info tony, I had heard the wo bino's didn't perform well at high mags but i don't know how high. with my 12" lx200 it will be about 200x , have you used them at this power?

The 200x magnification is only a concern with regard to the stability of the atmosphere. As eyepiece focal lengths get shorter trouble with merging is more likely to appear if the bino's are not in good alignment, though you're likely to be safe going down to about 10mm eyepieces. - potential merging problems are strictly related to the focal length of the eyepiece, not the magnification produced in a given telescope (afaik).
Note: binoviewers increase the focal ratio/length of a SCT due to the reduced distance between the mirrors needed to achieve focus with the extended light path through the bino's, so you might be operating at around 240x with the 15mm plossls.
As I sais in my PM Chris, I need a yes or no tonight as I don't want to keep the single eyepiece buyer waiting too long. Cheers, Tony.
