I finally found that Chicken - IC2948

That wretched chicken eluded me for ages but I can see it now. Here it is. This is a SHO (200,200,180 minutes) at f/11 Binx2 with ATIK11002M, OAG and EdgeHD1400.
It was the finer detail of the feathers fringing the chickens neck that I wasn't getting but courtesy of a lovely Ha image of IC2944 this week in IIS, I could see what I was missing, so I had another go and managed 2 clear nights to do it in. Yahoo!!

That's looking mighty good.

I know, for certain, that there is a plethora of data towards the outer regions that you could bring out with very, very subtle and gentle application of masked curves. Give it a go.

Try out dithering as Rick suggests, I've been experimenting using Nebulosity/PHD and found it works really well.
