Best SciFi Movies ever?
Probably a rehash of a previous thread, but for me
1. The Man from Earth (if you haven't seen this it is a MUST see)
2. Contact
and, subject to much controversy I will bet...
3. Starship Troopers
4. The Thing (John Carpenters version)
Hated Supernova.... now that's weird?

Without a doubt: Gattaca.

My all time favourite ten (in order):
1: Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
2: Firefly / Serenity
3: Taken (the series by Speilberg, not the film by the same name).
4: Doctor Who (any)
5: Star Wars (all of them)
6: Star Trek (any)
7: Matrix (all of them)
8: Terminator (first three)
9: Stargate (SG1)
10: Goodnight Sweetheart (comedy about a time traveller - very funny)
The list has many many more. I just love Sci-Fi

Peter, Peter, Peter....
Surely ALL Sci-Fi movies ( no matter how Badly/Brilliantly Acted, Bad/Beautiful SFX, Boring/Exciting Story etc) are the best just cause they are simply SciFi
If I had to make a choice...
The Fifth Elelement
Blade Runner
Star Wars( all variations)
Star Trek ( all variations)
SG ( all variations)
Starship Troopers
Soylent Green
Planet of the Apes ( all variations)\
Gattica
and All the above posts too
.......
and the list goes on
The ones I've listed are kinda in order depending on how I feel....
'Big Bada Boooom - Multipass' and ' Police man..??' - 'Time To Die......' are certainly some of my favorite quotes

I'd just like to add:
Total Recall ("Get your ass to Mars…")
Solaris (Tarkovskiy > Soderbergh)
Cheers
Steffen.

So many winners - Silent Running, Moon, Forbidden Planet, Gattaca, etc. etc.
But one I can always watch is "Things to Come" (1936).
Now those were helmets!
