Toucam 840k in raw mode at 10fps

Got your attention huh

A few nights ago, I was wondering why my avi capture program qfocus was crashing when i would try and stop it part way thru a 90 second capture.

The answer was that I was in raw mode and i was still trying to capture at 10fps from the optimised run.

The background settings were still at 5fps etc, but in the capture menu, I had 10fps.

So last night I tried it in terrible seeing conditions, but yes I capture 895 x 900mbyte frames in 90 seconds.

So whether it is because my usb port is usb2.0 compatible or qfocus is quite light or that I do not have too many things runnings on win xp, I do not know.

But I do know this I can capture @ 10 fps using uncompressed raw colour for lotsa detail!!!!

By the way, for asi, here is bad single frame , seeings i can't say the cr.. word!

I don't like capturing at 10 FPS for obvious reasons, but for Jupiter it's pretty hard to resist the temptation not to!

Thanks for the single frame. Looks better than my hundred odd stacked from the other night...

pushing the envelope again eh Davo

I thought I read that if you changes the setting for fps away from5 while in Raw Mode that if would default you back to factory settings or something

cheers,

I know if you change the background frames to 5fps, you have to restore factory settings
