Conjunction Mercury, Venus, Moon

Just after sunset you will be able to see a conjunction of Mercury, Venus and a 3% Moon tonight.

Unfortunately the clouds will be in my way.

yeh. all week i had been planning on going out to the cliff top to have a look. they are too low for me to see from the back yard. but no, we got the rain also. but we did get a nice viewing of the sky as sun went down below the clouds.

It was actually clear up this way and the three of them together low in the sky was gorgeous. My 3 year old was so excited she ran in telling mum she could see planet "benus"

We were on our way home this evening about sunset so went down to the beach to if the clouds would play nice. I only had my ipod with me so this is the best I could manage. Mercury was visible but doesn't show up in the photos. Stack of 5 images. The next lot of clouds were coming in before it got completely dark.
