Sun 23rd September

Hi everyone,
Here is a single image of the Sun taken yesterday with a Canon EOS 550D at prime focus of a 12" Sky-Watcher Dobsonian using a full aperture mylar sheet filter.

The area around the sun spots has an interesting 3D depth effect. Very cool!

Thanks guys, I suspect alot of the apparent "granulation" is noise from the compression of the image.

Here are two images made up of 1000 frames each using the 640x480 60fps video crop mode. Overprocessed as I have alot to learn!
