I know its been done to death, but ...triffid.

After looking at all the images for the last month or two, I really didnt want to photograph the triffid, but finally I got my scope, guider, mount, collomater and camera to all work at the same time the other night...and it was there, and I was there...and it felt right at the time... so here it is lol

Oh, I also tried sculptor.. but as you can see, that one didnt go too well.

Taken through a Bintel BT250mm f/4 Astrograph, on a Neq6 pro with a Nikon d7000... with moderate darkness.Iso400, 6x3 minute exposures (triffid) 4x3 minutes(sculptor)

Nice work Andrew. I'll be interested to see future shots from you as I have exactly the same telescope and mount, except I use a Canon instead of the Nikon. What guiding system are you running? You can find my early shots in this thread http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=79767 and my latest getting better shots here http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=80186 here http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=80841 and here http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=80105

Good luck and clear skies to you.

Nice work Andrew. We don't see many astro photos from other branded cameras. Thanks for the view.
