How long do orders for wecams from Morgan Computers UK take?

Hi all

I ordered a Phillips SPC880 on 21 July from Morgan Computers in the UK. It hasn't arrived yet. Anyone here order from them before? How long did it take?

Thanks!

While it is only a guess, mine was less than a week, certainly no more.

Mine arrived within 10 days - some others at that time had to wait aro 2-3 weeks or so

YMMV

Cheers

I just received an order of 4 of these, took 4 weeks from when I ordered them. BTW make sure you ask them for a refund of the VAT, they always hit you with it and because it is an overseas transaction it is not required to be paid.

Like others above, I think it took about 2-3 weeks, not much longer than that. I'd be questioning if it takes much longer.

I originally ordered the Philips Tocam with IR filter the webcam arrived after 2-3 weeks minus the filter.
Then after waiting several months (as it went to backorder) the filter arrived.

cheers Mark

It finally arrived today!

Hence the heavy rain in the ACT today....

Out of curiousity, has anyone here tried basic DSO imaging with teh Philips without doing the SC mods?

Hi grant. You cant do DSO objects without modding the webcam. In its normal state it takes video. You need it to be able to take single exposures like a digital slr camera . That is what the mod does to allow it to take long exposures. This allows more light to be exposed. You will not see any deep space objects in video mode.

Regards
Mardy
