Candids are all about the timing

Right time, right place, got 'im! Busted!

We were at a family gathering down in Adelaide and I was mucking around shooting the kids from ground level. I like the different perspective.

Hayden, my 15 month old in front here, innocently wandering around chattering to himself. Lachlan, his 20 month older cousin, was getting a bit tired and grumpy and decided to take it out on Hayden.

Just thought it was a cool capture. This shot was not cropped in any way, couldn't have framed or timed it any better.

That's wonderful.

Candids make the best memory making images. Posed portraits, unless for a specific purpose (headshot, profile, etc.) are sterile.

Thanks all. Wish it was a bit sharper, but hard to focus with camera down that low. I'm not as agile as I used to be

5 seconds later? Hayden was on his back and Lachlan had his teeth in Hayden's jumper there, had to pull him off! He gets a bit "bitey" when he's tired and grumpy.

You're not kidding! Go around his house and you have to watch he doesn't sneak around behind you. He'll bite you right between your shoulder blade where you can't reach him. He hasn't gotten me yet, but I know his parents get "on edge" when he's like that, as he's drawn blood from them more than a few times if they don't see him circling behind them!

He probably wouldn't like my blood anyway, tastes too much like booze! Haha.
