Popped out last night to check out Mercury, which was quite bright in the western skies after sunset.
Crawled out of bed at 4am today to tackle the finding of Comet Garradd, which I did, yeah, quite easy as large and nebulous. (more info in observational section). Very happy to find this at last.
Down to the beach to check out the beautiful constellations of Orion and Taurus which were looming over Magnetic Island. Mars was easy to spot in Taurus. Quite a few sporadic meteors flitting around too.
