[NOT REQUIRED] DSLR for rank beginner

Folks,

I'm keen to enter the astro photography field and would like to purchase a reasonable 'learner' camera. I'd prefer a lens included deal that I can use during the day also. I don't have a huge budget for this so I dont need the specialist stuff. Advice/offers appreciated

I have a Canon 30D modded for astro that I've been meaning to sell for ages, and I'll talk to my wife but I think she has a surplus 18-55 zoom lens. For daytime use, because the camera is modded, you'd need to custom white balance the shots, but it's perfectly usable. PM me if interested. I'll have to dig it all out of the cupboard and think about bargain price for you
