Wow - I've been away, so I had no idea of how the voting was progressing on this. Thanks to all who voted.

Seeing I've just been away on a photography workshop at Freycinet, I'll suggest the subject of "Seascapes".

Ta again!

Congratulations Dave, great shot and well deserved win. Good topic too, should provide some interesting interpretations.

Good shots all round as well from everyone.

Congratulations Dave! A worthy winner... and there's a lot of good panoramas in there to compete against! Well done everyone.

One of the biggest challenges with panoramas is managing exposure, especially the dynamic range across all the images. Its easy to overexpose the sky somewhere for example because the exposure is a compromise. Avoiding that overexposure is one of the things that sets a great panorama apart from a merely good one. Just a little tip if you're new to panoramas.

Al.

Congratulations David for this month's winning entry.

Every entry was fabulous.

Andrew (aka hector) and Steve's submissions were also awesome!

In the world of commercial photography, there is a market for images like Steve's
which are then used as backplates for computer generated renderings of products.
That abandoned factory industrial look is very much in vogue and provides a great
contrasting backdrop to, for example, a gleaming new European sports car.

Thanks for the comments Gents. These challenges bring out some impressive images from all who enter. I was feeling confident with my planned image for May, but after seeing what has already been submitted and what Mike posted recently, my confidence has waned...
