Hmmm, very true Eric, it seems a bit pointless.

It is a bit comical - I was hoping King Kong would turn up and demolish the annoying truck.

Morons need entertainment too Eric!

It's just a pity that most of their pursuits involve heavy use of hydrocarbons.

Cheers,
Jason.

I suppose Bart, maybe I'm just becoming a boring old fart, probably would have done the same in my younger days.

Ahem...photoshop curves don't involve bashing our good earth into submission...and polluting our environments with smoke and noise.

What will happen to that hillside in the next torrential downpour?

How to do 160kph standing still.

If those wheels suddenly gripped he'd probably put himself into orbit.

Trawl the videos and you'll see that most of them don't wear helmets and seem to wear only lap belts so they can lean out and see what the wheels are doing. And several videos show guys like this, rolling and flipping their buggies! Looks worrying to me. Wonder what the insurance premiums are for their clubs!

Molly......using a computer with screen et al and the AC you have on on warm nights (or cold nights for that matter), will also produce polluting smoke and noise...... maybe not in your backyard, but at your local power plant........

As for the hillside.....who knows when the next earthquake/ cyclone/tornado/tsunami would affect that piece of landscape.......
I realize that they ( 4WD's) have changed the contour/lay of that land. It would be insignificant compared to the above natural disasters......

I would be looking at how 'we' have changed landscapes to suit our benifit ( ie airports in the sea (china, japan) and land reclamation ( the Netherlands) before 'we' condemn recreational "bashing of the Earth" .( also water skiing on our local dams).

Molly, no doubt any car( petrol/diesel) that starts its engine will produce co2.
As well turning on your computer and any electrical device in your house and surrounds ( light poles, telephone, phone chargers etc)

So......Photoshop, in the end will cause damage to the Earth, albeit in a different way ( and in my opinion.... the few that do these crazy uphill battles compared to the amount of people using photoshop (or similar) for work in the multimedia industry would be less than being King of the Mountain........ no scientific proof attached just my doggg gone gutst instink)

Bartman

As an aside.....
Building a 10 meter scope on a hillside in some far of location; what considerations do they put into the amount of c02 they produce ? Trucks, helicopters, trains, planes!, cars, factories producing the glass( its a lot!), factories producing metal to support the glass and I can go on and on ........It does produce a lot of co2......
I guess I'm trying to put it into perspective.....
I'm at the moment running a fairly high powered puter with two screens, whilst watching some lame tv show on my 42" lcd .........so I'm not an angel in regards to power conservation......

But I try....at work and at home....turning off lights and AC where I can and when I can....

I think they just wanted a bigger hole, and this is easier than getting out a shovel.
