Unknown Object

I was looking at the moon (I think it was around 9:45) and caught something heading north and followed it until it got to capella and then it faded away. It was slower than the normal shooting stars I see go past. Did anyone else see it? Was it a comet or meteor?

i was observing the moon and saw something so i tracked it. This was at 7.30pm though. Two things of what i think it is, a weather balloon or satellite. Most likely it was a weather balloon. More of a reflective object with a long rope/string attached.

cjmarsh81,

I saw the exact same thing I think and I got It on camera. It was 10:01pm and was about a handspan to the East of Orion. Reminded me of an Iridium flare but nothing showing up on Heavens Above.

It could have been 10:01 My watch is analog and I can't see it in the dark, 9:45 was a guess.
