Remote wildlife photography preparations

Finally got all the gear together today. Packed and weighed everything I need for a couple of days out bush on remote waterways with all the camera and survival gear. 30kg of cargo and 90kg of me puts me 10kg over the boat's limits, but it handled it VERY well. I might be able to shave some weight off the gear with a few tricks I know.

Once I got it home, washed, dried and painted it all up ready to hit the waterways for remote wildlife photography. A few more adornments I have will help me blend in with the riverbanks. Can't wait!

Baz.

Nice work Baz, looking forward to the up and coming posts. Where are you heading? Is it all skinny shallow water, or open water? I have a few Kayaks myself, but have always been too worried about my camera gear getting wet. I have a Lowepro Dryzone, that is supposedly waterproof, but never tested it. Have to see how you go, after the knee caps heal, I might come down and join you for a trip.

Gotta get a couple of those yellow nylon marine-grade dry-bags mate. Camera gear getting wet is my primary concern. I'll not go out on moving water until I have that squared away.

My locations have to remain secret mate, as I have special permission for much of it and I want exclusive photography. This is the whole point.

If you want to join me, there are a few nice places along the Murrumbidgee corridor we could traverse. You're welcome to join me on that!

Baz.
