G11 Gemini and Starry night

Hi everyone,

I want to run my G11 Gemini remotely from my computer. I have Starry Night Pro 6. Will this work? If so how do I set up the connection and if not what program should I get?

Would it be better to wait for Gemini 2 and use that? I'm not very good with computers.

Frank

Yep, it works. It's what I've always used.

You need to download the Gemini .NET driver and make sure you have the latest ASCOM drivers.

You will need a serial cable to plug in to the Gemini and into your computer. If you have a serial connection on your computer, it's easy, otherwise, you'll need a serial-to-USB adapter.

H,
Thanks for the info, do I connect out of the hand controller serial port from the Gemini to the serial in port of the computer?

Thanks

Frank,

On the Gemini there is a port labeled RS-232. You plug into that and the other end into the serial port of your computer. You can keep your hand controller plugged in, too.
