You don't think it's an over-reaction, Ken?

I know what the rules for buy/sell are - I made them. I put them in place to protect the members of IIS from scammers.

I can also choose to waive them if I have enough information to know that the person is not trying to scam anyone. I've done it before where members have given me a reference from an existing forum member.

In this case, after chatting with the 76-year old retired astronomer from Mount Stromlow, I felt supremely confident he wasn't out to rip anyone off.

You made assumptions about what I did and why I did it, without knowledge of the background or any other information. If you choose to leave, then it's a complete over-reaction as far as I can see.

Ken I did say it was your turn this week, but I did not mean literally. Email me if you want to talk, I can give you my number via email. Not posting it here, don't know what sort of nutter I will get on the line.

The bending of the rules on this occasion raised my eyebrows too, but after consideration, I realised that Mike only has the best interests of IIS, and its collective members, at heart (as usual). And I think it was good one, and the umpires decision is always final, as you well know i would guess .

Well said Kearn, and remember if there's something you don't agree with there's the "Report bad Post" button at the top of the screen. http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/i...ons/report.gif

Ken,

I don't know what happened or what the problem is? But I do know the world is full of different people with different rules and beliefs. This forum is a microcosm of the world and we are all different. We all hold certain views but me must respect those of others even if we don't agree with them.

Don't leave the forum, there will be one less person for me to disagree with

Ken i really hope you can sort out what ever it was that happened as many here would agree it just wouldnt be the same without you and your good sense of humour which keeps us all sane!!

i'm sure (or certainly hope) it was just a misunderstanding.
