Advice please

Hi all

I was taking some photo's at a friends party and I took this photo and loved the way the three people in it looked but the background was very cluttered with a clothsline and other undiserable background I was wondering if someone could critique my use of Gaussian blur.

It's a bit heavy handed.

You need to mask it so that the edges of your subject are clearly defined.

At the moment, they've got a halo and it is a bit distracting.

While you're at it, increase the brightness of the subjects and slightly darken the environment.
