Thanks for the heads up, My grandfather was a rear gunner in the Lancaster in the UK (and survived!).

I was lucky enough to have a tour inside one last year during my holiday in England. An amazing machine!

Yea I saw it advertised on the SBS website while I watched the latest Insight episode on the NBN and promptly put it in to my phone reminder list.
Should be a good evening, Finish Work, RSL for a couple of Ales, home for lanc docco then outside for a spot of astro...sounds good

Was an interesting doco with some nice archival footage
but was spoiled a little by showing B17s and also
what looked like some pearl harbour footage??
Would also have been nice to see more on Barnes Wallis's bombs
( which only the Lancaster could effectively carry )
Overall tho, a good program.
Better than current reality TV cr@p.
