First Week back at Work

First week back after the Christmas Break and Boy am I sore. Today I have an office day, but my body has so much lactic acid running around. Amazing what a break of two weeks will do to your system. By next week I should be fine and only just ache in the morning.

Just for those that don't know I own a ceiling firm. That is we do commercial partition and ceiling works. Lifting sheets of plasterboard, packs of framing steel; that sort of thing. For the last 8 months I have been back on the tools for 3-4 days a week. Just to keep fit and keep in touch with the men. This last week I have employed a couple more men and of course I need to show them how our company operates. This means running like a madman and working my ring gear out. Lead by example sort of crap.

Well now I am suffering for being so slack over the break. Oh well how was your first week. Chip a nail, almost staple yourself, hallway cricket?

Paul

Rumples, it's been hell, i got a nasty paper cut and the beginnings of wrist RSI (but think that's more due to virtual dubbing than work ).

i'd complain about work mental stress etc, but then again it's lucky I've got a job so I'll just keep quietly beavering away toward an early grave

cheers,

Sounds like hard yakka RR!

My work as a breakfast radio journo/newsreader doesn't require much of that other than carrying the morning papers and my coffee in to the newsroom

What will balance the ledger somewhat is my 3.15am Mon-Fri "rise and shine".

That's about the toughest part of my job, especially this week after 2 weeks hols being at the cricket and generally lazing around like Little Lord Fontleroy

As previously expressed it is hard to get back into the swing of work after a few days off, I am ready for a holiday again...

The plus side of being back at work is that the coffee is plentiful and free...recognize that I did not claim that it was good just free...

Pretty much the same for all of us. I hate work, only reason why I go is the money at the end of the week and the job. So long as the money is big I will get my back side out of bed and slave myself. Roll on holidays in December.
