Starlight Integrated Paracorr System - Instructions

For those interested, Mike Lockwood has put this up on his Yahoo Group:-

"I have posted an up-to-date version of the SIPS manual (the focuser-mounted Paracorr) in a directory on my web site:
http://www.loptics.com/documents/SIP...STRUCTIONS.pdf

I wrote most of it, it was then edited by Starlight and TeleVue, and I took the photos that are used to illustrate it.

I hope that it answers a lot of the questions that you might have about this product. I use one on my 20" F/3 Starmaster, and find that it offers superb performance and is very convenient to use.

Collimation sounds like a big problem. ??

The instructions state:

"To collimate your telescope, you must remove the Paracorr lens group."

,which in itself sounds like a real pain, but also goes on to say further down:

"Frequent removal and installation of the lens group is not recommended."
