Unhappy Sad day- my hero's been killed

I just heard the sad news that my bush hero, Malcom Douglas, has been killed in a car crash on his property, .

The World has lost another Champion.

Wow - just heard as well. Sad day indeed. He left me an indelible memory years back when he wrestled crocs on the bonnet of his Land Cruiser during one TV show he did. A top block by all counts, and a real character lost.

This is no good.

Very sad. He was truly an Australian Icon. The original crocodile hunter.

Steve Irwin (dec), Mike Leyland (dec) & Mal Leyland, the mighty Les Hiddins (my hero), Alby Mangels …

A list of true Australians who introduced the bush to everyone of our generations …

He will be sadly missed by many.

Farewell Malcolm ..

Sad indeed. Used to love watching his adventures in the North country, his survival tips and bush cooking. Will be missed

Man, that is sad. I loved his programs. He was the original bush tucker man, non pretentious, a true Aussie legend.

Everytime I heard the flute and Don Burrow's it would remind me of his shows. He also seemed to be synonymous with channel 7 as well.

Even weirder I was thinking about him the other day, can't remember why

RIP Malcom Douglas.

Along with Harry Butler, one of the original wildlife conservationists. I admired him, and thoroughly enjoyed his docos.

Very Sad...
I know his brother very well (Stu) and his Mal's nephew (Taz). Damn, they are Aussie as you can get.
Their family has had their share of bad luck in recent times.

Sad that we lost a great man in such a way.
