Cometary Globules in Puppis

Dear all, recently I have been quite busy with my work and this prevented me to dedicate much time to astronomy, including participating to this forum.

However I was able to process an image taken last April, a shot aimed to the peripheral region of the Gum nebula. This area is often overlooked but full of interesting objects, in particular cometary globules like CG4, "the hand of God" I imaged last year.

This area is quite complex to imagine since it is full a tiny stars that make difficult the processing of the nebulosity. The data:
HaLRGB (90:110:40:40:40), Pentax 300mm f/4, Proline 16803, Coonabarabran (Australia).

That is a very interesting image Marco. You have a different approach and its refreshing.

Also useful for idenifying potential targets. I take it this area is still rising at the moment?

Thanks Greg, that was actually the aim, taking a large field to see what make sense to imaging later with a longer FL telescope
This area is still close to the Sun at the moment, best period will be next year end

Superb field of view, with some nice and unexpected results. Top stuff
