[SOLD] Stephensons Rocket by Hornby

Hornby "Stephensons Rocket" from 1979 steam powered toy. This item was purchased in the UK and brought to Australia with the box lid folded down to fit in a suit case. I made a new base to hold the parts with the rails partly assembled. It has been steamed many times but not in the last twenty five years. It has had minor repairs to the linkage and is missing the filler plug spanner. I made a substitute. Otherwise it is complete and still capable of being steamed. Instruction sheet included. A real collectors item.

I Repaired the lid so that I could store all the parts together.

If required It will have a trestle table that could have extension put on it to enable a table top display.

$600 or good offer

I will put it on ebay next week but there is one there already with a day and a half to go bidding at $630. I expect it will bring close to a G in the last half hour. It brought $1077

I will look at that forum/post when I can log it. I am in no great rush to sell it.

At the moment I can't find a gas canister to charge the fuel tank so I will need to make an adaptor to mate with a standard LPG cylinder. Not a great problem.
