2nd Aug planet faces .... and some fireflies.

Lovely clear evening yesterday so out for few images of the interesting 'planet face' conjunction .... nearly a smiley face.
Had fireflies flitting around as well, and captured an image around the Southern Cross area.

Thanks Carl and jjj. Yes the firelies are beauties, forget the damn planets!! They are so quick, and wherever you aim the camera, they have gone behind you. Always a good chase though.

Nicely taken, those little fireflies look like little Meteors, don't they.

Great fireflies Liz. I thought they would be around mostly in the summer, but obviously not!

Cheers,
Stephen

Nice work, as always Liz.

Bit difficult to plot the radiant for that Fire Fly shower though.

Regards

you and Leon are right though, they do look like little meteors in the photos. Thanks guys.
Stephen ... mmm, not sure, I probably never notice them unless I am outside taking pics. They do seem to be around at certain times, will have to take more notice.

hi Liz
very interesting images - getting about half the solar system in one frame is pretty good going.
