Takahashi EM-10 Temma 2 Jr - Price Chopped - Pending Sale

I have an 2002 Vintage Takahashi EM-10 Temma 2 Jr in very good condition to sell . Comes with:

EM-10 equatorial head
Temma 2 Jr GOTO
Counterweight + counterweight shaft
Hand paddle
Guiding cable
Serial Cable
12-22V Power Supply
Manual

NO Tripod
TSA102 OTA is not included in sale

Well as my old mammy said, if you cant join them, beat them; so I'm lowering the price to $2600 from $3000 and I will throw in shipping to an Australian address - I dont have any steak knives so please dont ask . New price of a EM-11 w/Temma is AU$5,245 from A.E.C (as of the 09/07/2010) so thats about half price.

Cheers

Lars

Hi Lars,
Is this the mount with the motor/gear problem that you mentioned on the yahoo uncensored tak group? Has it been rectified?

Em-10

Hi Paul

Yes it is the same mount. The problem was diagnosed as a stripped gear internal to the RA motor caused by the previous owner overtightening the locking collar on the RA worm. Apart from the damaged motor (a new one is on its way from the US) the mount had no other issues.

Apparently the previous owner serviced the mount not long before shipping it out and it appears that he did not adequately test the mount after the service.

Cheers

Lars

Update + Photos

For anyone interested I have added some photos.

Also to clarify the issued raised in the previous thread - the new motor arrived yesterday, was fitted this morning and the whole thing works beautifully.

I'm now back from my business trip so I'm happy to answer any/all questions.
