Amazing to see one in broad daylight.

Hi Andrew,
That's right! It really was something else. Here is a post where I mention it -

I have no doubt, as I had written, that if it had come over Sydney at night, that
it would have lit up the city like it were daytime.
H was asking what it was like. What struck me at the time was how
intensely bright it was - a brilliant white glow with the brightness of an arc welding
light - and that its path was relatively horizontal and that it seemed very low.
It was a real WOW! moment.
I've been lucky to see quite a few over the years. At one of the best Leonid Showers
in the past few years, we had driven to Narrabri to find some of the only clear
skies in the state and there was one we witnessed just on sunrise that left
a smoke trail that persisted to hang there in the sky for about
half an hour.
The memory of that has persisted much, much longer and the five of us that
witnessed it still talk about it to this day when we get onto the topic of bright
meteors.
Best Regards
Gary
