There's a bloke in the states selling them on eBay. Got mine new for $2000 delivered a couple of days ago. Worth a try. If interested, let me know.

Celestron C11

After my previous coment, I have had a stream of pm's regarding my experience. To save repeating myself, I'll post here.

The seller on ebay is called "breakallday" and he lists a new C11 OTA pretty much everytime he sells one. The insured postage to Australia using full tracking via FEDEX is about Au$235.

I paid using VISA via PayPal, and watched the shipment in Transit online, (reassuring). Delivery was about 6 days. I did NOT pay any GST but even at 10% thats only a couple of hundred dollars.

Seller communications were top notch and the scope is prisine. The shipping box was unopened. All up faultless transaction and judging by his feedback, thats the way it goes.

I'd certainly do it again, but, of course, thats with my money. However, considering the scope cost less than Au$2000 delivered, I am sure you are aware of the actually savings here.

Hope this helps

Getting it through customs without having to do even a self done customs clearance paperwork, or pay an agent ( $60 ) , and pay GST was just a lucky accident.

Even with that it would beat the $AU price hands down. He has bumped up the price on the current one he has on ebay by $50 from what Rom paid.
