Saturn storm & Jupiter May 31st 2010

Hi All,
Imaged Saturn last night and Jupiter this morning in fair to good seeing. As Bird has mentioned he is here in Broken Hill with me for the week and is setup beside my observatory. It was great to be imaging side by side with him, to see a real master at work.

Fortunately the weather out here, that has been pretty crook since May 21st, improved enough for us to get some good data of Saturn and the latest outbreak of activity from the SED's related storm and some good data this morning on Jupiter.

Have attached 1 RGB of the SED's related storm on Saturn, it seems to be very active at the moment and there are several bright spots within it. Also have attached an animation of the storm.

Have attached my best Jup from this morning.
Today my Flea3 arrived so with a little luck my next session will be with it.

Regards
Trevor

What an experience, to have Anthony there for a week. Very nice images Trevor. Hope there isn't too much scratching when the flea arrives.

All the best.

Outstanding shot!

I'll be waiting for your first Flea3 photos. Certainly this Saturn photo of yours is every bit as good as my first Flea3 shots. But then the seeing is probably not equivalent.
