DIY German EQ mount

I happened on this site with instructions for making an EQ mount. I don't think my engineering skills are up to it but it is an intersting exercise.

It's a beautiful piece of work and a great site Terry.
Chris Heapy's site, along with Jim Sapp's and Dave Gee were the
original inspirations for my tinkerings with home made worm gears.
Selfless people like these guys and their in depth write ups are pure
gold for ATM dabblers like me.

Hi Terry,
I found that site a couple of weeks ago, but was only ably to download 3 of the drawings, all the others didn't have links. Have you worked out how to get at the rest?
Cheers
Graeme

I noted this also. Unfortunately the site is a copy of the original site and the links seem to be broken. The original author isn't contactable according to a few post I found so I think that the drawings are probably lost.

re home made EQ mount

Wow!,,quite amazing detail, amazing how some people are so clever, and the amount of time even to just put this on the net is amazing.

A great read, thanks to the OP for posting this, what a hoot!I used to know some old guys with lathes etc,if they had these plans, they could whip one up no problems.

Thanks Terry, I thought that must be the case. Fortunately, the photos still work, and if you are looking to build an EQ, you will probably want to modify the design to suit the materials you have on hand. I tracked down his website, but the links are broken there too. He has a good page on worm gear hobbing on a home lathe.
Cheers
