Trifid Neb

Trifid Nebula from last night with half moon...

Meade 8"RC at f/8
QHY8 19x300s subs with flats
I am still experimenting with QHY8 settings- still needs some work...

first image - after editing
second image - unedited

There are black horizontal lines trailiing the bright stars...is this due to blooming?

Good effort Rob, I think you could still stretch the data a bit more. The moon is a pain, and while I was imaging the same object, I found it a little chilly at 2.00am.

I'm not sure what the black lines, trailing from the brighter stars are. Although someone more knowledgable will assist. But I notice the stars are a little egg shaped, which to my limited knowledge is normally an alignment or guiding problem.

Best of luck!
