Dodge add on cloudynights

Hi all just had a pm form a ice inspace member. About my celestron scope add.
Well its turned up on cloudynights site for 1100?

A CloudyNights admin contacted me a month or two ago, saying that there was some dodgy activity where scammers would take an ad from IceInSpace and re-list it on CloudyNights with the exact wording and a much cheaper price.

Obviously that's not good, and like we have been discussing here on IceInSpace, it's important to ensure that each individual, as the seller or as the buyer, take the appropriate precautions to protect yourself from any suspect activity.

Dam those scammers. I think they we need to sick "Ted Bullpit" on them.

Hi mike.
I reported the add to cloudynights lets hope they have removed it.
The iceinspace member from the u.s was lucky not to part with his cash.
Lets hope it wont pop up on ebay next.

weird... i was seriously freaked out by the ad a few weeks ago when i saw it...

The philosophy of Greed....
And what is even worse, we (victims, if we bite into it - which is also kind of greedy behaviour) are to blame because we "did not protect ourselves".

What is next (or last)? Walking around in cowboy's hats & boots and all with loaded guns around our hips for "personal protection".. American way of life, boy how we love it...

Alternative is police state, where everything is regulated and monitored, after being approved by the government...
