Adelaide earthquake
Did anyone in Adelaide feel that! Not much on a global scale but it was enough for me to head for the back door. Nice rumble!
Already has 2000 fans on facebook only 8 minutes ago.
Cheers

Yep Steve, it was a beauty eh....
I'm in the dome at the moment.
It woke my wife, she came outside and asked me if
I felt it.

Yep felt it here, rattled the windows etc, thought the neighbor had closed his carport door too hard, went outside and dogs barking everywhere.

Yep, it's been a while since I felt a tremor like that, 20+ years or so.
I notice Geoscience Australia's web page is down as I am sure lots of folk are trying to get information. I can't believe how quick the news spread via facebook. It was there I found a link to the first news item:

Probably one of the shallow faults jostling around a bit.

So far I've seen reports putting it as high as a 4! Gave everyone a good rattle, I bet.

3.8 is the official. I was saying around 4. So I was fairly close, just a couple more points and it would have been. Reasonably active in Adelaide but mostly just little stuff. The last one I felt was in 94, shook furniture and all but was around 4.4 I think at the time.
