The power of Photoshop ELEMENTS

Hey all, I have a thought that has been bugging me.

There are many photographers out there who can't afford a full version of Photoshop in any form. Many are stuck with free software or at the very most, Photoshop Elements.

I thought it might be good to start a HELP thread where TUTORIALS and LINKS to Photoshop Elements could be posted.

There are so many who have the full versions who assume Elements has certain capabilities, only for the novice to find an icon is greyed out or missing altogether.

So, can you wonderful, experienced, knowledgeable people please try to help us poor folk with all you can on Photoshop ELEMENTS only? NO FULL VERSION stuff!

As I keep saying, Photoshop's help menu is extensive and has everything you could possibly want to know about the software.

If a moron like me can learn Photoshop by fiddling with it, then, anyone can.

Barry if you have school aged children you might like to check out the "full" education version. A lot cheaper then the full version with all the same features.

I'm not 100% up to speed with Adobe's licencing policy, but, if it's anything like 3D modeling/animation software licensing, then, if you buy a student edition of the product, you are forbidden to use it for commercial gain.

Thats correct H. Barry if you want it for commercial purposes forget my suggestion otherwise check it out.

great idea Baz - i could probably buy CS5 but i use these programs so little it takes me too long to do something - i prefer elements (being a teacher can purchase at edu prices)
what i would like to start with is a basic - what do you do with a photo routinely..some steps that you do with most photos ...
