Is this the one that is only meant for the 50mm f/2.5 macro lens?

Not sure if it works on other lenses.

They say it works with most other lenses as well, acting like a 1.4x teleconverter plus extension tube in one. I can't find more accurate numbers.

Thats correct, it does work with most other lenses (with the red alignment dot) attached is a quick example, with my 50mm F1.8 II lense attached to it.

Not that I'm interested in buying (I have a Sony wth a set of extension rings), but is that the full frame? How big is that spider?

yeah its full frame and that is as close as I would like to get to this spider also. it measures from top to bottom 4" (top leg to bottom legs)
