Meade Electric Microfocuser

Meade® #1209 Zero Image-Shift Electric Microfocuser

For use with Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes

Zero backlash Crayford design
Complete with fittings for SCT telescopes.
Original packaging
Instructions

The Meade #1209 Zero Image-Shift Microfocuser allows you to achieve, and maintain, extremely precise, vibration-free, image focus – to a microscopic level – during visual, CCD, and astrophotography applications.

It allows you to achieve focus without causing a viewed object to move out of position in the eyepiece.

It allows you to maintain precise image centering on even the smallest CCD chips.

Included as standard equipment with all Meade LX200 GPS Schmidt-Cassegrain models, the Microfocuser interfaces with those models through the Auto-Star hand controller.

A separate hand controller is included for use with all other Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope models, whether of Meade manufacture or not.

The hand controller uses AAA batteries or it can be powered via the focus port on Meade LX models

The Electric Microfocuser operates at four selectable speeds from extremely slow (Fine) to fast.

It threads directly onto the telescope's rear cell.

Coarse manual focusing of the telescopic image is unaffected through the telescope's manual focus knob, as usual.

The 1209 unit allows for direct insertion of 2" eyepieces or diagonal mirrors.

An adapter for 1.25" eyepieces or diagonals is included as well.

Hardly used. (intended astrophotography never eventuated to any degree)
As new.
Usual clamp marks on fittings.
