Images Plus

As anyone managed to get the early versions of Images Plus (2.82) to run properly under Vista?
I was advised to download the updated Vista drivers from Canon I have done this and installed them but still the 350D locks up when trying to transfer pictures.

Hi Daniel,

I have copied Mike Unsold's reply to the same question from the IP users group website.

Hope it helps.

"The 350D can be controlled on Vista but requires the IP Vista Camera
Control install contained with IP 3. IP 3 is also compatible with
Vista for processing images from the 350D."

I am still having problems with IP 2.82 and the 350D. I posed the question on the ImagesPlus Yahoo Group and got this answer.......

"You need to download a Vista driver for the 350D from Canon. IP 2.8 is not 100% Vista compatible."

I have downloaded all the updates (including vu600en.exe) from Canon and installed them but still cannot get IP to run properly. I have uninstalled IP and all the canon software used regedit to remove all traces of the Canon software and tried again with still no luck. I am not running the 350D through a hub just straight into the PC, I have tried different USB ports and cables and I borrowed an XP laptop from work and installed the software and drivers but no luck (got into a bit of trouble over this because I forgot to uninstall). I am thinking the shredder might have a bit of trouble with the disks.

Thanks guys, my OS is windows 7, I have I.P version 3.8 and downloaded the canon driver vu600en and still no go. It used to work with vista but maybe have to wait for Canon to release new drivers for windows 7.
I also have xp virtual machine and still does not work whereas before it was once all good.
All started when I got my laptop upgraded to win 7 it actually worked for two shots then decided to stop transfering the images and leaving the camera jammed and blinking.

Cheers Daniel.
