Singleton takes a Hammering

Singlton sure took a beating today 21/12/09. A HUGE supercell storm ran straight over the top and dumped a hell of a lot of Hail and Rain not to mention the lightning. I viewed the Spectacle from the Singleton Heights which was right on the edge. we saw no hail but boy did it rain. Here are a few images from the storm. I would like to know if anyone heard if this storm produced a Tornado.

Spectacular looking storm. Hope it didn't cause too much damage.
You could just imagine a tornado forming off the bottom of it couldn't you.

I saw what could be a Tornado on the South side of town as I was arriving in Singleton. It looked to be like a ray of sunlight, brighter than the background cloud. Unlike sunlight it had a slight bend in it and appeared to be slowly moving. It faded as I watched but I did manage an image before it faded. I have included the image and highlighted the area around the suspect.

Could well be one.
If you hear any reports, you have the pic to back it up.
I captured what I thought was the beginning of one, then it was sucked back up into the cloud.
I should really post it here one day.

Menacing looking storm - like the zigzag shape in the cloud front in #3 photo.

Hi Andrew,

Great sequence and I can see why the media picked it up!

Is the water tank a Furphy?
