Skywatcher 200mm f5 OTA - with mods

Hi Everyone,

I'm finding I just don't have the free time I used to have for astronomy. So I've decided to sell this OTA.

Its a Skywatcher 200mm f5 Newtonian. I am the second owner (Jeff was the first). It has seen very little use. I've only had it out twice since owning it. It has a few minor scratches to the exterior from the tube rings but all optics and workings are in perfect condition.

I have made some quality mods and improvments outlined in this thread: http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=37558 See that thread for pics too

I will also sell the focusing adapter I made for this scope which allows fitting of a william optics SCT 10:1 focuser to this tube or any other Skywatcher tube which uses the same focuser plate. If the buyer of the OTA wants this adapter they get first preference. Otherwise I'm happy to sell it separately.

New this OTA sells for $399

OTA with tube rings and 1 dovetail and collimation mods, and original focuser $250 ono

Turned Aluminium focuser adapter: $60 (what I paid for the machining)

I have the original box which has been cut down a little so if conforms to Australia post parcel size. I can post around OZ for approximately $50.

Please contact me at dwphotography@optusnet.com.au with any enquiries.

Cheers,

Dave.

PS. I originally purchase this scope to use for astrophotography but never got around to it so I don't have any example images taken through this scope. When I used this scope visually it produced great images.

I should also mention that it comes with the standard skywatcher 50mm finderscope.

Still for sale... I'd love to see this scope go to a good home as its a great scope.

Many people on this forum use this same scope for great astrophotography!

I'm now open to reasonable offers
