Problems with Celestron SLT mount

I am using a Celestron SLT mount with my Skywatcher 102 Mak and recently the mount is having problems slewing both in the initial alignment and when slewing to objects. Even though the slew rate is set to 9 it doesn't move very fast and the speed also seems to vary. this should not be happening. Also the pin connecting the 12v power supply doesn't seem to have a good contact. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix these problems?

Is the scope well balanced? It sounds like the gears are binding, either due to the gear spacing being too small, or the weight load being too high. I'm not sure how easy it is to adjust the gear spacing in these mounts, or how your scope is mounted, but those would be the things that I would check first.

I have taken the mount back to where I bought it from. It will either be repaired or replaced. Only slewing in azimuth is affected. All other aspects are great. Hopefully the problem will be fixed or at the very least-addressed.
