Well done Alice!!!
Reminds me a bit of those bitter-sweet "Dustbowl" shots from the 1930's.
Tell 'er to keep at it - she has a great eye for composition.

Congratulations Alice.
The judges must be blind, it's a picture worthy of first place.

Hey Leon that is wonderful ... I am not sure you deserve to have such a talented lady as your life partner but the fact is you have..and so you must have the universe on your side.
My congratulations and respect goes to the both of you.

Thanks Guys, I had better explain, we, me, and my grandson Henry walked the jetty, to a dry lake that is usually full to over flowing.

But due to the drought it has been empty for years.

Alice took this on the smallest camera you could imaging, but the foot movement of both Henry and me really makes it.

Leon

PS, I am so proud of her for picking up a prize

Smile

It might've been dry, but you could still teach the munchkin how to cast a lure before he took his gear out for real fishing

Great shot, one worthy of a 1st prize place IMO

Yep Dave that is Lake Wendouree, dry as a bone mate, and has been for the last 5 years, if not more.

great pic leon ,your quite photogenic when we see your best side

I didn't pick that as a lake first look, which is pretty sad really as
all lakes should have some water in them.

Go Alice, Used to be a great lake full of trout. I spent many happy hours flicking a fly around this one.

Choppy is right Chris, it is all the lines and waves the mowers make when they cut the grass.

Thanks for your comments by the way.
