New version of Alignmaster

The title says it all.
It can be downloaded from http://www.naa.net/garzarolli/alignm..._download.html

I find it excellent as I continually setup in my backyard or elsewhere and I need to get a quick accurate polar alignment. This does it in under 10min.

Just to add to what Rastas has said, the newest feature is that the star positions are updated to the current epoch and hence far more accurate. I use a CCD, DSI or webcam in my main scope to center while aligning and its extremely accurate for polar aligning. If using EQMOD make sure you are NOT aligning and SYNCing with the mount but must have it in talk mode ie you are NOT setting a pointing model. Then after doing alignment for first time you can use the SAME stars or a different pair. Doesn't seem to matter. Time and Location must be accurate , if possible use a GPS or get very accurate co-ordinates and time.
Hope this helps.

Regards, Allan

I've had a few PMs in relation to setting up Alignmaster. To make it explicite.
In EQMOD you have 2 choices for the user interface selection. 1) Dialogue based and 2) append on Sync.
When you use alignmaster you MUST select DIALOGUE BASED. When done polar alignment then switch it to append on sync for getting you alignment to the sky. The two are different.
